Pemaquid Point Lighthouse is one of the classic Maine coast sights, standing above a dangerous stretch of rock and Atlantic surf. The 1825 tower appears on the Maine state quarter, and the keeper's house now works as a small museum. Come for the lighthouse, but leave time for the wide sea view from the point.
