Queen City Creamery is Cumberland's classic soda fountain — a 1950s-era diner with vinyl-clad booths, swivel stools at the counter, and a menu of homemade ice cream, soups, sandwiches, and the milkshakes that the place is genuinely famous for. The black raspberry is the local favourite.
Lunches are short-order, generous and cheap (around $8-12). It is the kind of place that has worked since long before downtown started reinventing itself for cyclists. Cash and cards both fine.
