Lynch Family Skatepark turns the awkward space beneath highway ramps and the Zakim Bridge into one of Greater Boston's most energetic public recreation spots. Its bowls, ledges, and open concrete forms attract skaters, BMX riders, and spectators, with the city infrastructure looming overhead.
It is a niche stop, but a good one if you like urban spaces that show how a city is actually used. Combine it with a walk along the Charles River or a visit to nearby North Point Park; even a short look gives a different angle on Cambridge than Harvard courtyards and tech offices.
