Putnam Gallery

Putnam Gallery displays part of Harvard's Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments, with objects ranging from early navigation tools and clocks to laboratory apparatus used in astronomy, physics, medicine, and computing. It is a small museum, but the collection is unusually rich.

It is best treated as a focused stop while you are already around Harvard Square. Pair it with the Harvard Museum of Natural History or Harvard Art Museums if you want a fuller museum afternoon.
