Bartlett's Ocean View Farm is the last operating farm on Nantucket, a 160-acre property that has been in the Bartlett family for more than a century. The farm stand on Bartlett Farm Road sells vegetables, flowers, and prepared foods year-round, and is essential to the island's summer food scene. On summer weekends a truck parks on Main Street selling sweetcorn and cut flowers.
The stand is more than a tourist attraction: it supplies many of the island's restaurants and has helped maintain a tradition of local food production on an island that would otherwise import everything. The prepared foods section — soups, sandwiches, chowder, baked goods — functions as an informal lunch spot.
