Nantucket is a small island but there is plenty to fill your days. The Whaling Museum downtown tells the story of the island's seafaring past. Beaches ring the island -- some wild and windswept, others calm and sheltered. Biking is one of the best ways to explore, with flat, well-maintained paths connecting the main villages.
