Kerrytown

A small historic district just north of downtown, Kerrytown is Ann Arbor's most charming corner for shopping and eating. The anchor is the Kerrytown Market and Shops complex, which houses a collection of independent retailers, food vendors, and the Ann Arbor Farmers Market — one of the oldest continuously operating farmers' markets in Michigan, running since 1919. The Saturday morning market is a genuine community gathering, packed with local produce, baked goods, flowers, and prepared food.

The surrounding streets are lined with older brick buildings and feel quieter and more residential than the busier downtown blocks to the south. Zingerman's Delicatessen, Ann Arbor's most famous food destination, is here. The neighborhood rewards a slow wander, particularly on market mornings when the whole area comes alive.
