Cliff Bell's

Art Deco jazz supper club restored to 1935 glory

Address 2030 Park Ave, Detroit, MI 48226

Cliff Bell's opened in 1935 as a high-end downtown supper club and ran for forty years before closing. After thirty years dark, it was painstakingly restored and reopened in 2006 with the original mahogany bar, glass-block walls, and Art Deco fittings intact. The current owners run it as a jazz club, with live music almost every night and a respectable kitchen.

It is one of the most atmospheric rooms in Detroit and a reliable place for a date or an after-show drink near Comerica Park and the Fox. Reservations help on weekends. Cover charge for music varies.
