Flint Farmers' Market

Address 300 East 1st Street, Flint, MI 48502

A year-round indoor-outdoor market that doubles as the city's de facto town square, especially on Saturdays. The 30-odd permanent vendors sell Michigan produce, baked goods, charcuterie and cheese, alongside hot food stalls — barbeque, dosas, Polish food, coffee. The market relocated downtown in 2014 into a renovated former Flint Journal warehouse, and that move has been one of the more visible bright spots in downtown's slow recovery.

Saturdays are when the additional outdoor vendors set up and the crowds peak. Tuesdays and Thursdays are quieter but still worth a visit for breakfast and a bag of groceries.
