A faux-Alpine shopping village on the river just behind the Bavarian Inn, with around forty small shops selling everything from leather goods and candles to nutcrackers and Christmas ornaments. The architecture is full Bavarian pastiche — half-timbering, painted shutters, cobble-effect lanes — and is unapologetic about being for tourists.
The Mini Mountain attraction, free outdoor music in summer, and the giant working glockenspiel on the central square make this a logical place for kids to burn off energy between meals.
