Frankenmuth runs hard in summer (June to August), when the gardens and outdoor seating are at their peak. The town is at its busiest during the Bavarian Festival in early June and Oktoberfest in mid-September. November and December are also packed — Bronner's is the obvious draw, the town stages a Christmas market on Main Street, and the lights along the river are kept on through January.
January to March is the quietest window. Several attractions reduce hours but the chicken restaurants stay open, and motel rates fall by half.
