Getting There

Jackson sits on I-94 halfway between Detroit (75 miles east) and Battle Creek, and the city is the railroad hub it has been since the 1840s. The Jackson Amtrak station — itself a National Historic Landmark — is a stop on the Wolverine line between Chicago and Pontiac, with three trains daily in each direction.

The nearest commercial airports are Detroit Metropolitan (DTW), about 90 minutes east, and Lansing's Capital Region (LAN), 45 minutes north.
