The Muskegon Chophouse is the closest thing the city has to a proper upscale dinner restaurant — a steakhouse and chop house with well-prepared beef and a wine list that exceeds expectations for a city of this size. The room is comfortable without being showy, and the service is attentive. Reservations are advisable on weekends.
Not the place for a quick lunch — come here for an unhurried dinner when you want something better than a brewpub. The fish dishes are also handled competently; the whitefish preparation is worth considering alongside the beef.
