A 1946 soda fountain at the back of what was once a working pharmacy in Fondren — the booths, the formica counter, the chrome stools, all original. Brent's serves diner breakfasts (eggs, biscuits, grits), burgers, and milkshakes made with proper ice cream.
Behind the soda fountain there is a small speakeasy bar, The Apothecary, open from late afternoon, with a serious cocktail menu. The Help was partly filmed here.
