Sedalia's highlights cluster around two things: the railroad-era downtown with its handsome late-19th-century commercial blocks, and the Missouri State Fairgrounds on the southwest edge of town. Add Bothwell Lodge a few miles north, the Scott Joplin connection, and the restored Katy Depot, and you have a day's worth of sights in a place most travellers drive straight through.
