St. Louis has a light rail system running from Lambert International Airport through the northern part of the county into downtown, then across the Mississippi River into Illinois. A branch line runs from Forest Park past Washington University, through Clayton, and past the St. Louis Galleria shopping centre. Single fare around $2.50; day passes available. The MetroLink is the easiest way to get between the airport and downtown without a car.
