The Eleanor Barbour Cook Museum of Geology is a campus museum for travellers who like rocks, fossils, and the deeper history beneath the Plains. Its collections include minerals, agates, petrified wood, and fossils from Nebraska and beyond.
It is a secondary stop, but a useful one if you are already visiting the Chadron State College campus for the Mari Sandoz center. Together they make the campus worth more than a quick glance.
