Hotel Yancey

The Hotel Yancey — also listed as Hotel Pawnee — is the most prominent historic building in downtown North Platte. Built in the early twentieth century, it anchored the commercial centre of the city during the railroad boom years and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The building's brick facade and corner position give it a solidity that most of downtown North Platte no longer has. It has gone through various uses over the decades. Worth a look as you walk the few blocks of the historic centre, even if it is not open to the public.
