Aztec sits in the Four Corners region of northwestern New Mexico, about 12 miles east of Farmington on US-550. Farmington is the regional hub and has the closest airport (Four Corners Regional, FMN), with connections to Denver and Phoenix. Most visitors arrive by car — Durango, Colorado is 35 miles north via US-550, and Mesa Verde National Park is about 75 miles northeast.
There is no public transportation to Aztec. If you are travelling the Four Corners region without a car, arrange a rental in Farmington.
