Things to Do

Los Alamos's main attractions are the Bradbury Science Museum (the public face of the national laboratory) and the nearby Bandelier National Monument. The town itself is small and functional, designed to house scientists rather than to be interesting. But the surrounding landscape — canyon country at the edge of the Jemez Mountains — is dramatic, and the history makes it unlike almost anywhere else in America.
