The Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center occupies the site of the Audubon Ballroom, where Malcolm X was assassinated in 1965. Part of the original facade remains, and the center presents exhibits and programs on his life, civil rights work, and legacy.
