Columbus has a better food scene than its reputation suggests, fuelled in part by a large immigrant population and in part by the Ohio State University crowd who want something other than pizza. The Short North is the main restaurant district, but German Village has its own classics. The city is big enough to have interesting spots in Korean, Ethiopian, Somali, and Vietnamese cooking alongside its more obvious Midwestern staples.
