Cedar Point Beach

The 1-mile sandy beach on the south side of the Cedar Point peninsula is included with park admission and is far less busy than the rides — most coaster fans never wander out to it. The water of Lake Erie is shallow and warms up nicely by July; lifeguards are on duty in summer.

Hotel Breakers, the park's original 1905 hotel, sits directly on the beach with a long porch facing the water. A relaxing change of pace mid-afternoon when the park is at its busiest.
