Ray Harral Nature Center and Park

The Ray Harral Nature Center is a 40-acre park on the western edge of Broken Arrow with a mix of nature trails, picnic areas, and a small nature center with exhibits on local wildlife and ecosystems. For a suburban park it is notably well-maintained and genuinely natural — the creek corridor through the property supports a reasonable range of birds and wildflowers.

The trails are short and easy, suitable for families with children. The nature center itself has live animal exhibits featuring snakes and turtles native to eastern Oklahoma. Access is free, and the park is much less crowded than the sports facilities and bigger parks in the city. A good option if you want a morning walk that doesn't require driving out of Broken Arrow.
