Lake Arcadia is Edmond's outdoor escape, a reservoir east of town with boating, fishing, swimming areas, and trails. It is not wild country, but it is the easiest place nearby to get water, trees, and a long horizon.
Bring a picnic or plan a half-day rather than a quick photo stop. In summer, the lake is at its best early or late, before the heat flattens the afternoon.
