Most of what there is to see in Okemah is tied in some way to Woody Guthrie — his birthplace, his statue, the Crystal Theatre that hosts the festival every July. Beyond Guthrie, the town is a quiet stop with a half-empty main street and a small but interesting cemetery on the east side.
