By car
Tahlequah is about 75 miles southeast of Tulsa via US-51 and OK-82, a drive of around 90 minutes. From Oklahoma City it is around 3 hours via the Indian Nation Turnpike. There is no passenger rail or regular bus service; a car is essential.
Practicalities
Tahlequah is a college town with standard amenities. Downtown has a modest selection of restaurants and a few bars around the Northeastern State University campus. Most services are along US-62 east of the centre.
