Bridgewater Fish House

A step up from the chowder-bowl places on Bay Street, with a proper menu and an old-fashioned pub interior. The crab is excellent — Dungeness crab cakes, whole cracked crab in season, crab and artichoke dip. The fish and chips use fresh local rockfish rather than frozen product, which makes a real difference. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable for what you get. Arrives early on weekends or expect a wait; they do not take reservations.
