Grants Pass is on Interstate 5, roughly halfway between Portland and Sacramento and about thirty miles north of the California border. The drive from Portland is about four and a half hours, from San Francisco about six.
The nearest commercial airport is Rogue Valley International–Medford, about thirty-five minutes east on the I-5. It has direct flights to several West Coast hubs and to Phoenix. Amtrak's Coast Starlight stops in Klamath Falls, about a two-hour drive east, but most visitors arrive by car.
