Taprock sits directly on the south bank of the Rogue, with a wide deck looking onto the river. The menu is centred on Pacific Northwest staples — Chinook salmon, locally caught steelhead, regional beef — with a serviceable list of Oregon wines and a strong selection of regional beers.
It is one of the few Grants Pass restaurants with a proper river view, and dinner here as the sun goes down is one of the standard rituals of a visit. Reservations are wise in summer.
