Getting Around

Downtown: Erie's downtown is compact and walkable. Perry Square is the centre; most of the historic buildings, the art museum, and the Warner Theatre are within easy walking distance of each other.

To Presque Isle: Presque Isle State Park is about 4 miles west of downtown. There is a seasonal shuttle bus from downtown in summer; otherwise a car or rideshare is the practical option. Bikes can be rented at the park entrance.

By car: Most of Erie's attractions are spread out enough that a car is useful. Parking is inexpensive by city standards.

Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA): Runs local bus routes connecting downtown with the surrounding neighbourhoods and suburbs. Not designed for tourists.
