Getting There

By air: Erie International Airport (ERI) has limited scheduled service, mainly to Philadelphia and Charlotte. Most travellers fly into Pittsburgh (2.5 hours south), Cleveland (1.5 hours west), or Buffalo (1.5 hours east) and drive.

By car: Erie is at the intersection of I-79 (north-south) and I-90 (east-west along the lakeshore), making it highly accessible by road. From Pittsburgh it's a straightforward 2.5-hour drive north on I-79.

By rail: Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited stops in Erie on its daily Chicago–New York route, a convenient option from both cities. The Erie station is downtown, walking distance from Perry Square.

By bus: Greyhound serves Erie from Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Buffalo.
