Theatre Harrisburg is a long-running community theatre founded in 1926, making it one of the older companies of its kind in the United States. It stages plays and musicals at the Sunoco Performance Theater in the Whitaker Center.
For visitors, it is worth checking the calendar rather than treating the building as a sight. A good production can make an easy evening in downtown Harrisburg.
