Hersheypark Stadium

Open-air concert and sports venue on the Hersheypark grounds

A 30,000-seat open-air stadium adjacent to Hersheypark, used for major concerts and occasional sporting events. Built in 1939, it has hosted everyone from Frank Sinatra to Taylor Swift, and is one of the larger outdoor music venues in Pennsylvania. The adjacent Giant Center arena hosts the American Hockey League's Hershey Bears, the most decorated franchise in AHL history with 13 Calder Cup championships.

If you're visiting in summer and a big name is playing the stadium, tickets can be worth picking up — the setting is pleasant and the acoustics serviceable for an open-air venue. The Hershey Bears hockey season runs October through April; games are lively and tickets are easy to get.
