New Hope's main pleasure is wandering: river, bridge, canal, theatre, galleries, and the old railroad are all within a short walk of one another. The strongest sights sit along the Delaware or just outside town in the wooded hills of Solebury Township.
Make time for the Bucks County Playhouse, the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge, and the Delaware Canal towpath before chasing the smaller historic houses. If you have a car, Bowman's Hill Tower and the George Nakashima Woodworkers complex are the best short excursions.
