Narragansett is most easily reached by car — about 30 minutes south of Providence on US-1, or 2 hours from Boston. There is no train station in town; the nearest Amtrak/MBTA stop is at Kingston (Wakefield), 6 miles inland, with seasonal RIPTA bus connections. T.F. Green Airport in Warwick is the closest commercial airport, 40 minutes away.
In summer the Block Island ferry runs from Galilee on the southern edge of town — 55 minutes by traditional boat, 30 minutes on the high-speed catamaran.
