Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is served by direct flights from most major eastern and midwestern US cities, with additional seasonal service from the northeast. The airport is small and easy to navigate. Most visitors drive — the Grand Strand is accessible from Interstate 95 via US 501, and from North Carolina via US 17.
There is no train service. Amtrak's nearest station is in Florence, South Carolina, about an hour inland. Greyhound and other bus services connect Myrtle Beach to other southeastern cities, but the resort is designed for cars and getting around without one is difficult.
