Myrtle Beach is heavy on entertainment and light on conventional sightseeing. There are no museums of particular note beyond the Colored School Museum, no historic monuments to speak of — the city is young, purpose-built for tourism, and makes no pretense otherwise. What it does offer is an unusually dense concentration of live shows, water parks, and family diversions.
