Cathedral Spires Trail is a short but memorable hike to the base of the granite needles that give this part of the Black Hills its drama. The route runs about 1.5 miles one way and can be linked with the Little Devils Tower Trail.
The trail is close to Needles Highway and works well as a half-day stop with Sylvan Lake. Expect rougher footing than the distance suggests.
