The Deadwood Social Club, upstairs at Saloon No. 10, is the most reliable serious restaurant in town. The menu leans Italian-American — pasta, veal, chicken parmesan, hand-tossed pizzas — with a few South Dakotan signatures (pheasant, buffalo strip steak, walleye when in season).
The dining room is narrow and warm, with views down to the saloon below, and the wine list runs deeper than you would expect for the location. Reservations are wise on summer weekends.
