The City of Presidents is Rapid City's downtown scavenger hunt: life-sized bronze statues of U.S. presidents placed on street corners across the centre. Some are solemn, some are informal, and a few invite the inevitable tourist pose.
The statues work because they get you walking. Follow them loosely rather than obsessively, and you will cover the best of downtown without needing a map-heavy itinerary.
