Crosstown Brewing operates out of the ground floor of the Crosstown Concourse — a former 1.5-million-square-foot Sears distribution warehouse that was renovated into a mixed-use vertical urban village housing apartments, offices, a medical clinic, a gym, a high school, restaurants, and retail. The building itself is worth a visit; the renovation is one of the most impressive adaptive reuse projects in the South, and the scale of the former warehouse is extraordinary. The brewery's taproom benefits from the Concourse's high ceilings and the foot traffic generated by everything else happening in the building.
The beer program is serious: the core lineup covers lagers, pale ales, IPAs, and stouts with consistent quality, and the seasonal and limited releases are often excellent. The food menu is also thoughtful — not just bar snacks but actual meals, drawing on the Concourse's food culture. It is an easy place to spend an afternoon or evening.
