McKinney Falls State Park

McKinney Falls State Park is a 744-acre state park in southeast Austin, known for its limestone ledges, short trails, and swimming holes on Onion Creek. When the water is running, the falls make a surprisingly wild break from the city.

It is best with a car and a little time. Bring swim gear in warm weather, but check conditions first after heavy rain or dry spells.
