Corpus Christi International Airport is west of downtown and has connections through larger Texas hubs. By road, I-37 runs in from San Antonio, while US 181 crosses the bay toward Portland and the route to Port Aransas. You can manage downtown without driving, but the beaches, aquarium, and barrier islands are much easier with a car.
