North Beach is Corpus Christi's most convenient visitor beach, a narrow strip of sand facing the bay rather than the open Gulf. Its great advantage is location: the USS Lexington, Texas State Aquarium, restaurants, and beach are all within a short walk.
It is not the wildest or cleanest beach in the region, but it is the easiest if you are in town without time for Padre Island. Treat it as an urban waterfront rather than a secluded escape.
