By air: Midland International Air and Space Port (MAF) is served by several US carriers, with direct flights to Dallas, Houston, Denver, and Las Vegas among other destinations. The airport is about 10 miles from downtown.
By car: Midland sits on Interstate 20, the main east-west highway through West Texas. From Dallas it's about 5.5 hours; from El Paso about 3 hours; from San Antonio about 4 hours. Odessa is just 20 miles to the west on I-20 and the two cities function as a single metro area.
By bus: Greyhound and other coach services connect Midland to the wider Texas bus network, though service is infrequent. For practical travel in and around West Texas, a car is essential.
