White Pocket

White Pocket is a remote sandstone landscape in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs area, known for pale, swirling rock layers that look like marble cake under a thin icing of grey stone. The formations are smaller and less famous than the Wave, but the textures and colours are just as strange.

Getting there is the hard part. Roads are sandy, conditions change quickly, and a high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicle is normally needed. Bring navigation, water, and a conservative plan; this is a deliberate backcountry stop, not a quick roadside viewpoint.
