The town's grocery store and, in late summer, the place to buy the legendary Green River melons. From mid-August through September, local farms pile up watermelons, cantaloupes, and the prized Green River honeydew at stalls along Main Street; Melon Vine carries the rest of the year's groceries.
If you have time, drive a mile or two out of town to one of the farm stands directly — Dunham Farms and Vetere Farms both sell from their land. A melon eaten on the riverbank in 100-degree heat is what Utah's hot deserts taste like.
