St. George is on Interstate 15, about 305 miles (490 km) south of Salt Lake City and 120 miles (190 km) northeast of Las Vegas. By car from Las Vegas the drive takes under two hours. Salt Lake City is three to four hours depending on traffic.
St. George Regional Airport (SGU) has a handful of daily flights, mostly to Salt Lake City, Denver, and Phoenix. Las Vegas's McCarran International is the more practical hub for international arrivals — it is close enough that many visitors simply rent a car there and drive. Greyhound serves St. George on the Salt Lake City–Las Vegas route, though the schedule is limited and a car is essential once you arrive.
