Chantilly is a census-designated place in Fairfax County in northern Virginia, part of the sprawling Washington D.C. suburbs near Dulles International Airport. Its main draw for visitors is the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, the Smithsonian's enormous air and space annex, which houses full-sized aircraft including the Space Shuttle Discovery and a Concorde. The surrounding area is dominated by office parks and shopping centres.

Things to Do
Chantilly is a suburb, not a destination in itself. Most visitors come specifically for the Udvar-Hazy Center; everything else here is incidental. The two other notable sites — Sully Historic Site and Ellanor C. Lawrence Park — are low-key and local in character.
